The LearnAbility Approach (since 2005)
Learning for Life, Not Just Grades
At our core, we believe learning isn’t just about earning top marks or landing a job—it’s about living a confident, empowered, and fulfilling life. That’s why our programs go beyond the classroom and workplace.
Whether you’re seeking support for a diagnosed learning disability, subject-specific tutoring, or help building executive functioning and organization skills, we offer personalized, evidence-based solutions that make a real difference.
We support individuals, families, companies, and organizations with tailored learning programs that focus on what truly matters:
- Building strong relationships
- Boosting confidence and independence
- Increasing retention in school, post-secondary studies, and the workplace
LearnAbility has been a life preserver in my son's academic journey. Through his years with LearnAbility he has gained not only the tools he requires to aid him on his learning path, but the confidence to let others know that he is struggling . His instructors have gone above and beyond. Huge shout out to Michelle and her staff. - Alana MacLeod, Parent
"I was first diagnosed with a Learning Disability when I was in grade 1. I started working with Michelle AuCoin at LearnAbility in Grade 4. Michelle helped me academically but also helped me to become an advocate for myself and has become a lifelong mentor."
- Alyssa McCulloch, former Elementary - Post-secondary student

My son started tutoring about 4 years ago. He was in grade 1 when he began and was reading at a primary level. Today, he is in grade 4 and well above grade level. In fact, this year he was chosen from his school to participate in the Nova Scotia Spelling Bee at Cape Breton University. He has thrived and is so confident with his reading, writing and spelling. Justin would have never gotten this far without the help of tutoring at LearnAbility - J. Paul
